One lifetime isn't long enough

this is not about me...

i love you now forever, till death
but i can't bare to hear your last breath
life is limited but always a surprise
but long enough to stare into your beaming eyes

our lifetime is too short, is there another way?
to live longer than fate intended

your plan was naive but couldn't hurt
we planned and planned and were so alert
we tried to help you but it we had so much lacked
i tried to help you by shooting your back

i know it sounds crazy but it was so we could live a second time
if you listen to me plead that it wasn't a crime

if you died with your tomber you wouldn't last long
but if you died healthy we would be proud and strong

but it can't work, i live now
so i'll have to die to honour my vow
