Friends Forever

this is how i feel about my friends...except for one that pisses me off most of the time

Friends are my power
My motivation
Sometimes even
My will to live
Because I know
I can count on them
To help me out
Of the dark abyss
I've been pushed in

The shed some light on me
And give me the key
That I've entrusted them with
And they can unlock
The heavy and dark chains
That bind me

They bring me back to the light
Dust me off
And help me walk
When I am weak
When I can't speak
They are my words
My paper and pencil
The empty canvas
On which I can create
They help me out
So much

And all I can do or say
Is write this poem
As a pathetic way to say
Thank you

They know who they are
They should see it well
They should be able to say "I am a loyal friend"
Even if they don't see it themselves
Through one person's perspective
That which is mine
Can make a big difference
And help them to smile

Did you smile?
I hope you did
I doubt
But still it would make me happy
Anyway, I hope you liked this
You know who you are
I just want to say
Thank you so much
For picking me up
Me; The worthless and broken one
The one with no potential
You've helped me stand on my own two feet

Our friendship is something I hold Very precious and dear
An irreplaceable jewel that sparkles and shines even when there is no light
