The Guillotine

The Guillotine

A Poem by T.M. Austin
"

Just came to me.

"

As I walk down that lonely path into the darkness

I see those I have hurt

Killed.

Memories flash of my family

Would they miss me?

Probaly not but yet,

I wonder was it worth this price as I approach the guillotine

worth dying and losing everything and everyone?

The executioner slides my head under and I think,

Can it get worse?

As the blade drops my life flashes before I die and I realize it can as I

am sentenced to eternal torment in hell.

Just what I deserved for my crimes.

Like a death message before dying... I love the depressing effect of the poem.
