Barriers

Barriers

A Poem by Trickykane

Entranced in your kaleidoscope

Drawn in by your infectious hope

Lost within this twilight zone

Juxtaposing lonely and alone

I don’t feel lonely, I feel occupied

Yet I feel alone, nothing by my side

But who needs the physical

When you have the spiritual

The transcendental, yet emotional,

Lyrically drunk, yet soberly magical

Kind of love that transcends all

Across the barriers I hear your call

Barriers of my mind that keep me captive

Notions of forlorn beyond adaptive

No need for a passport for this tour

Unforeseen risk and lucidity granted for sure

I can promise you no wealth or jewels

Let trust be the only drug that fuels

Consuming thoughts and mind

A whole lifetime to search and find

Not only love and its meaning

But the force that keeps us dreaming

Gone are the days of yearning

A new day, a new beginning dawning

Travel across the barriers I built

Let the blooms of sorrow wilt

Like a new shoot springing up for sun

Our time has come, no more race to run

No more barriers or round-about

Just a smooth pace from hear on out

So take my hand and walk with me

Across the land and stormy sea

You and Me, this is the victory

Together we’ll make history

Memories and so much more

Cross the barriers…see whats in store…

Nice one. It is not some physical creature that haunts you but it is your own self, this is he message I got from this piece. Good read.
