Baking Incident

Never let us in the kitchen <3

Thirty minutes late, time to start the show,

Assemble in the kitchen, we prepare.

Get your whisks and bowls- ready, set, let’s go!

The cake to be made, eaten if we dare.

Scattered around the room, eight left clueless.

Measurements wrong? It’s fine, just use your eyes!

Missing steps or whatever, all a mess,

What’s food poisoning? Just hope we don’t die!

Oh dear, do you smell that? Something is off…

Oops- there goes the house, stove turned a tad much.

Card games abandoned, smoke inducing coughs.

Out the kitchen, now forbidden to touch.

Plans now burned, we laugh with a “whatever,”

These crisp memories we hold forever.
