Innocence

Innocence

A Poem by Tripp

Sleep in peace, Sweet child of mine,

Then the innocence around you will bind.

As your dreams plunder it s world,

You’re the one that someone adores.

Your skull on your pillow, Your dreams in your head,

And things written down that shouldn’t be read.

And with this little light of min,

I’m gonna make sure that you don’t die.

I tucked you in, You’re fast asleep,

As I watch you rest in peace.

And until the suns bright early light,

I’ll sit here as you’re in my sight.

And greet you, Happy to be with you,

Because you’re up and you’re anew.

The poem is excellent. The love of a mother. Nothing is so beautiful. I like the description and love in the words. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
