The Enemy

The Enemy

A Poem by Nosyt

Questions I shouldn’t ask,
Notions I should just mask,
Feelings I should retract,
Ideas I should compact.
Worries I need to ignore,
Concerns I need not to explore,
Answers, I don’t need to ask for,
My brain has enough, it needs no more.
Over analytical, under achievable,
Too much sensitivity, less of the grumble,
Low self-esteem, highly irrational,
Gets too attached, and loses all control.
Don’t be so intense,
Back up, build a protective fence,
Your heart has too much access,
And you always end up in this mess.
I know what the problem is, yet the solution I can’t achieve,
And continually find myself in this agony,
But I know the only one to blame is me,
Because I am my own worst enemy.
