The Bystander and The Daydreamer

The Bystander and The Daydreamer

A Poem by Twiztid Poetess
"

A man takes a deep look at himself from another realm.

"
Day dream,
I believe.
Who so ever,
had the endeavor.

Day dreamer,
so happened to leave here.
I'm envious,
for he is,
oblivious.

Day dreaming,
while people are screaming.
Some are not eating.

What are your thoughts,
what are you thinking?
Don't you know,
those who famish,
those not lavish?

I noticed you in your blue suit,
charcoal black tie,
and rich shoes made of hide.

Day dreamer answers with
a tear in his eye.

By stander,
for I am not day dreaming,
of my health,
nor, my wealth.

I am simply intrigued,
with the present fatigued.

People who cry,
they don't have rye.
People's,
pleadings,
weepings,
just to save their,
precious keepings.

I'm thinking of the torture,
some never recover.
I'm thinking of helping,
those who are yelping.
Look over there!
for,
she wallows in fear,
her babies aren't near.

So before you go,
I'll let you know,
you need to take care,
take care to grow.

For I'm ready to leave,
so please give these,
to the old lady,
over there in jeans.

In my hand,
I held a small black bag.
What could it be?
It was light as sand.

So I gave the bag,
to the old hag.
She was delighted to see,
diamonds of the sea!

Pale and round,
pearls of the sound.

I was mystified,
by her
new identified,
justified,
gratitude.
I was rude.

My ignorance,
in a trance.

Day dreamer dreams to help,
So he did.
He helped modify,
my own mind to rectify.

Day dreamer spoke words,
words of wisdom.
How can I judge,
judge those with,
judiciousness?

I was envying,
my own past,
grieving.

For the first time,
I understood my own livelihood.
All without a dime.

I am ready,
to move on with my life.
Realizing I was the day dreamer,
all this time.

So, I left the broken shards of glass,
the ones I peered within,
to leave my reflection,
of my undying,
renewed,
reconciliation.
