Dead to me

Dead to me

A Poem by Anonymous -

Every time , every second , every day I move forward , my past pulls back ,
Choking me , saying to me , you can't , won't succeed , don't try , you'll fail ,
And now ,
I'm at the all to familiar crossroads ,

Why , oh why , do you have so much power , such a tight grasp ,
For all I want , need , desire , is to move towards a successful life ,
But you pull back , you pull back , you fear my inevitable leaving.

And I'm , and I'm scared , scared to depart , and say goodbye ,
You're my friend , my love , the only one who stayed by my side ,
Cause the day I got out , all these so called friends dropped the call like a missed signal ,

I got no one , but my lonely self , and I'm angry , depressed and suicidal ,
But I'm tired , exhausted of trying to make others like , love me ,
Do as you wish , I'm tearing the fabric of reality thread by thread ,
Sewing up a new empire to stand stall ,
And for them , they'll be the flag I run up the flag pole of pride known as my middle finger.

No longer are they to have an ounce of weight on the scale of a decision ,
No longer are you waisting time in my head , you ain't paying the rent to live here ,
You aren't paying the devil back his dues for a sold soul ,
So if you want the resurrection of Christ , watch a falling star ,
Cause lucifer is about to rise.
Cause lucifer is about to be risen , rinse you from the lies and deceit ,

So from the beginning of a fallen world , watch the genesis reform ,
Implode from the blood baths of deserted souls bearing their heartless sleeves ,
Cut and drained , morphing from butterflies of innocence to tainted grey moths.

The world I was born to , lived through , can burn ,
Cause no longer am I playing ,
Just going to play the game of life ,
And watch the falling fall into the blood pool of the Fallin ,
Cause no longer is the past the tainted pain ,
It's the blessing in disguise ,

It's the catalyst that moved , pushed all mountains ,
And drowned them in what was once love ,
But is now power and ambition

Wow, this is some intense stuff! Rise from the ashes, my friend. I wish you the best.
