Lost Innocence

Lost Innocence

A Poem by Wanderer

There was once a child

With a clear and free thinking mind

Distinctly different from others

Destined to achieve something grander

Growing up with the materialistic world he had a brush

Started losing himself in the maddening rush

Free mind was replaced with a controlled one

In the crowd felt completely alone

Rule book replaced the creativity

Free thoughts were replaced with rationality

Trapped in the chain of traditions

Restless and tired, looking for salvation
