Yearnings of Selfless Love

Yearnings of Selfless Love

A Poem by Ubaid Majeed

I prolonged
To this misery of life
I Accustomed myself
To these daunting thoughts.
I underrated myself
Despite all Your odds.
Thy heart in me
Is torn asunder-
I Linger in the same deadness
Though a lively spirit.
I want to emerge anew
Shedding old skins
I Want to move forth-
Into the new horizons.
I need courage-to
Foster my dynamism.
I yearn for Your love
To endure my dead soul.
I long for your fond caress
To drive me with happiness.
I yearn - I long - I yearn-
For Your Selfless-Love.

I am a beginner, trying to put the words together in a kilter. Ansurdity in writing is regretted.

About
I am a learner, fond of words, trying to put them together in an appropriate kilter. My write-ups may be laggy, absurd, but I write with no intentions to impress anyone, at least not the people of wri.. more..
