Lucky in Kentucky.

Lucky in Kentucky.

A Poem by S. D. Blankenship writing as Ulisigi Wa Ya

I’m from West Virginia, searched all around though the east of Virginia.

Been though Ohio, met some people that I didn’t know.

Came on in, forgot who I am, lost my name, just this side of Main.

But I’m so lucky, that I met that girl on the edge of Kentucky.

She stole my heart, took my life, and ripped it all apart.

Chased her for thousands of miles, back home to Giles.

Took a wrong turn on the back side of Pennsylvania, I tell ya,

This girl here has stolen my heart, she’s everything I’ve to pout.

She’s my gal, and I’ll chase her from here to hell--alula,

Chores.
