Dawn Sabbatical

Dawn Sabbatical

A Poem by Unbeliever

Dumbstruck, wrong and love unfeigning

Heart-strung, hurt and uncomplaining

Broken bones and raw collateral

Hopeless days, my dawn sabbatical

Flesh is flesh, just rancid meat

A God complex my right hand seat

You take from me my faith, my strength

You feed from me at your arm length

Blood runs thin, I weep, I crawl

I reach all out, you build a wall

Spoken words, a son, a b***h

Token pain, an unscratched itch

Alien probes and fallen foes

Ignore self for all time lows

Fall on me, for I depend

We've surely now, met the end
