Satin has it in for Me

Satin has it in for Me

Satin has it in for me

Satin has it in for me

He’s on my a*s constantly

Like a dingy on an angry sea

The wave’s pull me to my knees.

An extravagant collage

Of snippets-from my life

Some in hues of orange and blue

Painted with a knife.

Story lines and minds entwined

Never leave a brother behind.

Jesus turns his face...

To see

He says the fresh air agrees with me.

He’s so sad I can tell...

Do they serve vodka tonics in hell?

Toss a coin in the wishing well.

Hold your ear up to the shell.

Satin has it out for me,

So, I’m joining Jesus’s infantry

I didn’t hold up my end Ya see.

Now I’m trying to be.

Nowhere is safe

No place for me...

Hiding inside between the pages of revelation and psalms.

Down here amongst the Florida heat, buried between the palms

Satin has it in for me

Satin has it in for me

Satin has it in for me

Can’t get a job

Can’t find no space

Can’t find a girl

I’ve fallen from grace

Satin has it in for me

Satin has it in for me

Can’t hold down my sup

I put an extra dollar in the

Donation cup.

Can’t beg I’m all out of favor

My eyes are on fire like the

Beads of a trader.

Satin has it in for me

So, I joined Jesus s infantry

Satin has it in for me

So, I joined Jesus’s infantry

He’s on my a*s constantly

Like a dull coat of my history

On a ghost ship lost at sea

Jesus turns his face....

To me...

Talking to me through my mom.

In tongues of lost souls

Of once upon.....

On a star lite ghetto roof

On your knees begging for truth

The whiskey

Running through your veins

Now your Abel

To wield the Caine

Now your Able

To bring the Caine

Now your Abel
