Shinning Star

Shinning Star

A Poem by KristaK

When life was easy,

You never got sleazy.

When life was hard,

I tried not to be scarred.

I waited for hope,

A way to cope.

A silver lining,

That was always shinning.

When it all seemed right

You tried to be bright.

When it all fell apart,

You tried to restart.

You always pretended,

This was unintended.

But the truth,

Seemed uncouth.

I tried,

I lied.

I pleaded,

My words went unheeded.

I shed a tear,

As we landed here.

Not very far,

From my shinning star.

Love these words, such a heartfelt and emotional write, very good poem like it bunches.
