Driftwood

Driftwood

A Poem by Brandon M. Mitchell

Driftwood

Floating far down this endless sea,
Brushing gently in the shoreline,
And swiftly carried back again.

It's always a new adventure awaiting me,
Not knowing where i'm gonna end up next,
Or when I will be released to shove.

Only the heavens know where I will lie,
When I will drift again,
But for now I lie on this odd forsaken shore,
Until the next wave sweeps me away.
