Fallen Star

Fallen Star

A Poem by UponTheBrink
"

I wrote this about a girl I once felt very strongly for but whom I now rarely speak to.

"
Last night, I saw a glowing passion
Streak across the sky.
It filled my body with warmth and comfort
Until it flew out of sight.

I followed, in hopes to catch a glimpse--
That burning brilliance
Blew my brains
And took all my sense.

You're a fallen star
With golden sparkles in your eyes
That bears a silver heart and a holy smile
Twice as nice and half the size.

On a path and through the woods,
Something shimmered in the distance.
It took my breath away, replaced it that very instant

With hope and reverie,
Curiosity and mystery.
I could feel it spark
Something of a long lost memory.

You're a fallen star
With golden sparkles in your eyes
That bears a silver heart and a holy smile
Holding truth within your lies.

So, there I stood,
Head down,
As I understood,
And the tears fell to the ground.

There once was a girl,
My fallen star,
A love from a small outskirt town
That bore my silver heart,
Wore it all around.

I loved her,
And she loved me.
We stayed together 'til the very last day,
And though I'm dead, I will not forget
That final memory.

You're a fallen star
With golden sparkles in your eyes
That bears a silver heart and a holy smile
As bright as a thousand fireflies.
