My Friend

You looked for me when the world forgot I exist. You cheered me on when I lost sight of my goals. You knew my worth when I fell in my own esteem. You kept from judging me when the world measured me with its own yardstick. You fed me and nurtured me when others turned me out in the cold. You soothed and helped heal my wounds that the world inflicted so callously.

And that's why I love you my friend.
