Deadbeat Dad

Deadbeat Dad

A Poem by ;

You were always mulling around the house

Like there was nothing to do

There were dishes in the sink, Garbage to take out, Kids to feed

But no you wanted a beer, a cold one at that

I hated you more than you can imagine

You were suppose to be my father

The father that went to work, didn't beat his kids, and took care of his wife

I hold no regret for killing you...I rejoiced in it

The only thing that I regret is killing you fast

;
Just some grudge going overboard...I didn't really kill my "dad"

Good well written poem, a smooth read, emotional and almost matter of fact.

Sometimes a fathers inaction can be more of a painful thing to a daughter then any action he might take.
I like this, it's short but conveys a strong message to any dead beat, or lazy dads.
Love thine daughter, or suffer the consequences!
Good poem!
