How The World Ends

How The World Ends

A Poem by Austin Dykes
"

I wrote this a while ago when I was really depressed.

"
Darkness clouds my thoughts
My sanity begins to bend.
Life flashes before  my eyes
This is how the world ends.

Hell opens up its gates
And heaven closes shut.
Death reaches out his arms
And grabs this lonely mutt.

Angels laugh at me
Demons scream in terror.
Satan watches me
No one shall be my carer

The streets are set on fire
The houses are a blaze.
The river has all dried up
The end of this cities days

The fire burns flesh and bone
Yet my screams cannot be heard.
All the people were sleeping
Not one person stired.

Death is near now
Only a few moments left to spend.
I can see the light now
This is how the world ends.

About
I love poetry and music, two of my strongest passions. I've written many poems as well as stories in my life. Most of my poems usually have the same structure just because it's easiest for me to write.. more..
