Bittersweet memories

Bittersweet memories

A Poem by Vikrant

Sitting in a dimlit room with bittersweet memories
Thinking about the happy and sad part of our story

I remember when we laughed and shared our joy
I remember when your tears made me cry

I knew you walk slowly to match my pace
Listening to me silently while reading my face

Our hearts were tender our love was pure
Nothing can set us apart that I was sure

But in the world of reasons there are some rules
With love comes tragedy and even God can be cruel

You broke your promise and took a last breath
My eyes were misty and my heart skipped a beat

People consoled me when my soul was jarred
They said when we die we become stars

I know its foolish and it may not be right
But I always try to track you in clear starry night
