Masochist

"
Managing to fit in on an everyday basis
Alone he can not withhold his true nature
Supreme pain, his favorite thrill, he indulges
One scar at a time, he slowly feels alive
Creating a body of memories, the skin - a witness
His mind could ask him more than his body could take
Inside he rejoices for he has total control
So often they met, the blade - his friend
Tomorrow will come but tonight he is free

I have lived this poem, not that I am proud of it, but I understand the need for pain at certain times in your life. Well written my friend!
