Awaken

Awaken

A Poem by Dewella~Vintella

Drops of Sorrow,
and sapphire sadness,
leaking from my heart.
I can no longer bear,
yet still never part,
with my misery.
Forever I am;
longing for a distant view,
a glimpse,
a glimmer of hope,
through this mist of dew.
I sit in silence,
forever removed,
stolen from my innocence.
lost in the abyss,
invisible from view.
Encased inside my cocoon,
ignorant to the ways of the world;
Forever I have waited.
Buried deep inside this cave,
clothed in flesh;
feeding from chaos.
Built from the ashes of enemies,
the brittle bones;
broken and borrowed.
Strength in its structure,
and yet..
I crumble.
Weak without words,
worthless in silence.
I wait;
Forever longing,
to awaken.

Forever longing,
to awaken.

This piece simply spoke to me, as if my heart is a part of this poetry. Perhaps many could relate to its sad misery, because I do. It feels to me as if the waiting seems to be forever, that hope is hopeless case, that we sleep in eternal slumber waiting to be aweken by the only one that will makes us complete. Excellent piece!

Whoa...that was intense. I felt like I was going on a journey of someone elses self-discovery.

I loved the "through this mist of dew" line. Always looking out for those puns since I first met you.

You succeed at it so well.
So close you sit here on the edge of a great awakening. There are the stirrings of the soul come to life within you, waves of want. And now I'm wanting with all my heart for you to find that place of bliss that caresses the sunrise inside you. xo

Thank you for the wonderful review. I am glad you enjoyed it ^^
We can't always depend on life to keep our innocence, once it's gone, it's time to grab our balls and get a move on. Haha. We shouldn't wait around for something good to happen, we should be out there trying to make something good happen for ourselves. Find a way to make ourselves smile. Find a person to make our day special. To do something meaningful and make your life seem important, make you seem important for once in your life. It takes something new for everyone, but you'll get there. Just take it one day at a time, man!
