Dragonfly, Dragonfly

Dragonfly, Dragonfly

A Poem by Dewella~Vintella

Dragonfly, Dragonfly,
Loan me your wings.
Take me a crossed the night sky
till my heart sings.

Butterfly, Butterfly,
Loan my your beauty,
cover who it is I see.
Until your colors mask me.

Weeping willow, poor willow,
what sorrows have you seen?
what pain do you hold,
yet you still grow so green.

Dragonfly, Dragonfly,
let me be free.
let my fly away,
let me be un-seen.
Take me away,
from the sorrows so true,
let me be colorless,
let me be you.

Dragonfly, Dragonfly,
let me be brave,
guard my castle in the sky,
let me be saved.

Dragon fly, Sweet dragonfly,
loan me your wings,
let me fly as you do,
till my heart sings.

In particular I really like the rhytme and the pace in this poem. It flowes very well.

what pain do you hold,
yet you still grow so green

- beautilfully put
keeping wondering about the world!! :)
