The Red Man carried the body of his beloved Jacob for miles until he reached the grave of the boy's father. The Red Man could have snapped his fingers and been there in half a second, but Jacob had meant something to him. Jacob had been the only person in hundreds of thousands of years that The Red Man had ever been attached to. He wanted nothing more than to bring Jacob back to life, to speak with him once more. The sounds of Jacob begging for The Red Man to save him still echoed in his head. The Red Man had been the one to bring him to his torture every time. He hated doing it, always tried to delay it or end it, but it was useless. Te Red Man was powerless to stop it.
He'd walked for hours before finally seeing the gravestone of Jacob's father. As he approached, The Red Man began to weep. This was it. He rested Jacob's body gently on the ground, picked up a a shovel and began to dig. He dug and dug until there was a grave five feet deep. He pulled himself out and set the shovel aside. This could've been done in seconds, but he didn't care. The Red Man picked up Jacob and laid him in the grave ever so gently and crossed his arms over his chest. e then proceeded to cover Jacob. The Read Man cried more with every shovel full. By the time the grave was full he was a blubbering mess. Finally, the The Red Man snapped his fingers and made a gravestone appear. He knelt down and continued to cry in front of the grave, he yelled that he was sorry and that he wished he would take his place. He begged for Jacob to be alive again, promised that he would protect him. qAs if from no where. The Red Man felt a hand on his shoulder. He swung himself around and saw Jacob standing there. He smiled at The Red Man. " Thank you, so much," Jacob said, and just like that , he was gone once more.
