CHILDREN PLAY

CHILDREN PLAY

A Poem by Amadi Judith
"

A poem that captures the jokes that children play...

"
A madrigal and Symphony.
Music, Magic Laudable, Aurora!
Heaven today, merciful energetic assassin.
Calming, here comes the perch.
Soothing relieve as the drama ends.
There you are little heart and angel.
I am safe, the game is ended.

It is a poem about the rough play that children play. In this poem, they pretend to kill one another. They feel pain playing like this and relief but the world of child is a haven, a beehive of activity outside the sanity of boring, routine, adult life. Each day presents a new natural drama and rather than the stage lights they have aurora for an accolade. It is a world of fantasy, of action and reality, or true danger, that a thriller would hardly provide.
