No more sadness

No more sadness

A Poem by Francesco Vitellini

No more sweet sadness
leads beyond love and truth
to the hall of self-consciousness
where everyone’s soul is refugee.

Were they well used or just abused
no more words will light the minds
no clear notes will leave the harp
to kiss the ears of lonely hearts.

All withers when a poet dies
no more romance in sunsets
no more love in moonlight
no more sadness, no more.

Francesco Vitellini,

This is what separates one who writes from a writer.

With a kindred spirit, we know when a poet dies the world ceases to exist the way we love to see it. Your words are a tribute to famous poetic verses stuck in our hearts forever ‘til then.

Words such as these whisper to every poetic heart to go forthright and make a difference. These words intrigue the reader to keep going...

This is what poetry is made of, you sir, are a poet.

Thank you for the challenge,

Legacy

In my opinion, if you have not entered into the contests of Poetic Infusion Society, this would be a great submission into Enlightenment.
