I Fell in Love With Rain

I Fell in Love With Rain

A Poem by Vx

Its raining here in New York.

The city streets covered in a layer of water

so crystal clear reflections are hard to miss.

I use to love the rain you see, it use to make me feel less alone

but now that you're gone--

it changes everything.

The rain makes me sad with all the expectations

Clashing against the buildings in the Bronx

Sliding down tall, glass shadows in Manhattan,

Falling into the Hudson without a care.

The rain makes me sad you see,

'Cause it was filled with memories of you and me;

Embedded into ever drop that fell from the sky.

I also wondered, why? Why it took you so long to leave?

Wrapped in discomfort and drowned by the ghost of our past,

I am a wandering soul and you're still pretty and whole.

funny how we see the world in different ways wen we are feeling different emotions. Whether its sadness or joy rain always seems to evoke emotions, really enjoyed this.
