Jenga

Jenga

A Poem by ac4st3r

Sometimes I wish that you could have stayed

Remember the jenga games that we played?

Now you are one of the blocks in my game

And I will always remember your name

It’s here, my fear, I was safe with you near

Now I am not, those dark shadows leer

Aim spears at me while I’m lost in this world

With a new stranger, kindness in her eyes

Taken away by the shadow’s surprise

I will defend from shadows dark and cruel

If I fall from the top of my tower

Who will be the one to catch me again?
