A Hooker's Truth

A Hooker's Truth

A Poem by Voice

A Hooker’s Truth

Her time at work is spent on her back

Her body is not a sacred pillar

But a desecrated land

Pillaged by thieves

Men who pay so little

And take so much

To those looking in

She is nothing but filth

They know her kind

But they don’t know her

She will do whatever it takes

To feed her family

Her inner demons control her

Yet they can’t consume her

She asks for God’s forgiveness every night

And He always does

Though she will continue to sin

Her soul will not be lost

For only God knows His children’s struggles

And only He can judge

This piece was amazing. The way you portrayed that woman was great, and I enjoyed reading every part of it.

That was... absolutely amazing. You showed this charactor in a light that they normally wouldn't be shown in. Gave them a chance to tell their story. Bravo.

This was so nice,it always intrigues me how they could lead such a life..so I investigated..
I read so many books on them, their lives ,their secret, their own world, how they react to men
and I was dazzled and surprised at what I saw..These women never do it for pleasure
although by time they get addicted to it..they usually start it for money..some will say
she does not know any other bussiness to do ,never good at any other job..
some really go so romantic ,they tell of lonely men ,or men harassed by their wives ,or men finding life like a great burden
or just they want a little time with a kind warm heart to take care of his every needs
she even thinks what she is doing is a great service to society..how right they are I could not tell
they get beaten by some bullies, get harassed all the time..very risky job
still a very exciting type of society..I think its society itself responsible for these tragic life of these
young ladies..they are never secure ,always frighted of what the future could be
sometimes i really sympathize with them..I really feel sorry for them
your writing touched on a very exciting subject ,made me think a lot
lovely write..

I say Bravo to you for writing this piece... again it is true that many only see the surface and don't take the time to wonder why they do what they do... many assume it is by choice but the reality is it is really circumstantial so many times and these women are people with feelings and even trying to support a family. The raw nature of the peace really brings out the power of the situation you speak of.
