A Poem by Vol

Just had a peek into

the Total Perspective Vortex,

a 3D flight through

FIVE THOUSAND GALAXIES!

Where is Zaphod

when I need him?

Anybody got the

recipe for a

PanGalacticGargleBlaster?

Does it come with

little umbrellas?

All I know is that you better have your towel with you and that even looking through one galaxy is bigly big, never mind 5000.
It is technically beyond bigly big, akin to looking for a needle in a haystack so big that you instantly forget what you were looking for the moment you see it.
I take great comfort in knowing the answer is 42. So much in fact that I don't even worry about what the question was!
Ps... interesting fact... did you know that Douglas Adams Co wrote a book with John Lloyd, the creator of my favourite TV show, Q.I?
Here is the link to it, as its easier reading this than trying to explain it! 😃

I think you can find that recipe at the 'Restaurant At The End Of the Universe', where you can also find out about "Life, The Universe, and Everything". The drinks are free (and not watered down), the advice is expensive though. And watch out for those building the Galactic SuperHighway, they are a mean bunch.

Happy New Year Vol!!!!! And of course, a bright 42 as well.

Welaah!
i did not pick up the references in this work, but i laughed anyway. it has the warmth of good company and the slickness of a smart joke. these short snappy lines came at me lightning quick and it was quite bewildering. kind of like when a drunk person is talking to you really fast.
