The Peace Inn

The Peace Inn

A Poem by Victor Warui
"

To my beloved who passed away earlier than we had time together.

"
The heart stops to beat
And body loses its heat
Laying down unconscious
A breath, only the precious
Thing the nose needs back
The eyes seeing all dark
In the abode of blackness
Light afar end you'll witness
Bright than smoldering sun
Pure than a wool yarn
Inviting the lost soul
To drink from the bowl
Of afterlife the others had
Drunk from, beforehand
It'll quench thy thirst
Blow off your dust
It will cleanse you
Prepare thine to
Finally rest in
Eternal peace inn.
