Buried Alive

Buried Alive

A Poem by Justin

The blood streaks on your arms
Put there by ones you loved
The beauty you have
Both on the inside and outside
Corrupted by a razor

You disappoint your mother
Yet no one can explain why
Listen to me please
You don’t disappoint me
You’re an amazing girl

Your father left too early
Don’t blame yourself for that
It’s not your fault
The family was falling apart
But not because of you

You hid your feelings for so long
That’s what caused those scars
Now everyone knows
And that kills you inside even more
Don’t worry, you’re loved

I won’t judge you harshly
I know of your hidden pains
Come out to me
Dig up those hidden thoughts
I know how you’re feeling

By bringing that blade to your skin
You’re doing more than hurting yourself
You’re burying me alive
I’d do anything for you
That doesn’t change it though

You hurt yourself physically
Attempting to spare me mentally
But it cuts me deeper
Coming home to see you
Cutting yourself for me

Wow.. There is a lot of emotion in this piece. I've been in a situation such as this and I know how it feels to watch this happen. To feel like you're on the outside looking in, knowing that you have the information, the power, or the will to help.

I hope whoever this piece was written for is doing well.

Thanks for sharing..
