Luke Warm

Luke Warm

A Poem by Skye

I hope there's more to you and I
than slanted smiles and goodnight texts,
cheesy cards on holidays, and
late-afternoon escapades.
Mustn't there be something else that
makes our heart's skip a beat, a
quickening of my pulse as you
lean in, a little too close?
Otherwise aren't we just
a couple of friends -
pretending we're in love?

About
Sometimes, I forget my passion underneath the demands of life and want of perfection. Then there are those nights where everything is clear, and I can't help but write what I feel. I love meeting .. more..
