Irredivivous

Irredivivous

A Poem by Jennifer Hopkins
"

irredivivous (adj) 1656 -1656: unable to be revived

"
Lips meet
As your hands cradle my jawline
And pull me into your world.

I am lost in the sensation
no longer of this place
And if this kiss did not have me
Tethered
My orbit would cease.

And it is your tender touch
That will buy you everything.

My soul breathes through you
And the sign that escapes my chest
Rests between parted teeth
And the love-whispered words of a caress
About how my lips were made for yours.
