Wanderer

Wanderer

A Poem by Ashleigh

I have a tendency to wander
From one place to another.
I make homes out of cardboard
And of temporary structures.
In-betweens are my haven,
I never stay for too long.
Friendships last about a year;
They're not where I belong.
I am free when I wander,
Never stuck in one place.
I like to live my life
As if it's all a dreamy daze.
If I simply choose to wander
With no destination in mind,
I can roam the earth at will
And I can leave the world behind.
