A Poem by WatchMeRise

I wish I had control of my own life,
I am a spectator in this play,
For years I've searched for the knife,
To cut myself out of this and drop the lights from the stage.
The show is over, please go home.
Forgettable acting in a forgettable poem.
Leave this time I've wasted of yours behind,
Forget everything I did to you.
Forget the lines, forget the direction,
Child's play on the stage meant for adults,
With hearts and minds strong enough to take it,
We're way too young for this,
I'm way too young for this.
I've lost my youth
I've lost my heart and I've lost my hope.
It's never coming back.
