Unspoken But Spoken Words

Unspoken But Spoken Words

A Poem by Abraham W.Z., Amaning
"

This poem is about a shy admirer whose fear of rejection prevents him from telling the person he admires how he feels

"
On the shores of deep uncertainty
The heart longs for safety
Faced with the fear of rejection
The heart takes pride in isolation
All unspoken but spoken words
Should I turn my head and keep my heart sicken
Or speak these words and get my health broken
Each day as I watch her pass
My heart becomes heavier than it’s mass
All unspoken but spoken words
Bewitched by her personality and smile
My soul would run a mile
When in darkness my path frightens
Her smile my path enlightens
All unspoken but spoken words
With wings I guess I could fly
And by her warm embrace my soul would ply
Her knight of ancient tales
Or merchants of great sales
Could someone tell me where she stay?
So that by her side my heart could lay
Caught in her radiant gaze
Fearlessly I ventured into the maze
Taken away in the lucidity of dreams
My heart grows deem
But with my bones and blood
I write these unspoken but spoken words
