I remember...

I remember...

A Poem by WaterRoses

I remember when he was kind
eyes gentle
peace of mind
I remember when he was kind
now eyes fierce
we can never stop and rewind

Hurting
so much pain
we're both going slightly insane

I hate you
you hate me
I beg with you
over and over again
please...

no more comfort
living in fear
waiting, always waiting
it'll happen again
mind racked with the horrors of our shadows
heart withered by the cruelty in our words
body battered by the violence  of our souls

Tears overwhelm
we can't go back

we can never go back

I remember when he was kind
loving hands
gentle mind
I remember...
I will always remember...

Very good. Almost painful to read (In the sense that the hurt of the situation being portrayed comes through perfectly.) I'm glad I read it- It's the kind of thing it would be nice not to be able to relate to... but it is also nice to read such circumstances so well described, nonetheless.

I love this piece, it is absolutely phenomenal. reading it broke my heart (more than it already was) and definitely put me in your shoes. Nice job.
