End of Time

End of Time

A Poem by Wolverine

The angels desecend on the mortal world in a white fog of bright light
The demons crawl up from the dark burning prison of hell
As the mortal humans in hiding a broken shell
The hordes collide on the surface of earth a deadly fight

Claws shred wings and spread the deathly blight of hate
Swords of truth respond pushing back sin with judgement
Both armies desperate and determined employ the elements
The balance of the universe swings as both leaders take their places in fate

The devil with his horns of fire and eyes of coal burning in suffering
The God of heavens walks on the waters of life dressed in white and covered in love
Scythe clashes and scrapes against broadsword as push comes to shove
Covered in blood and tears both come eye to eye unforgiving

"Behold, thou art the deceiver and the cause of death and decay
Therefore you must be banished and locked away"
The Lord stretched forth his hand and spoke softly
"Be gone" the devil with a screech dissapeared forcefully

The snake without a head quickly perished
The battle of good and evil had been decided since the beginning of time
But the world was destined to be shown that the Lord will outshine
And anyone who stands in the way of light will be vanquished
