Soul Mate??

Just something personal that is affecting my life at the minute.

It has been a few year now
Since you said I left you
You reckon I broke your heart
Well, you broke mine too.

Drugs were your lover
At the time I wasn't enough
A request was pleaded that you try and give up
It was answered with, 'Ah babe, it's simply too tough'.

I prayed so hard
beyond my call and above
for you to find peace, courage and strength
hoping in time we could get back our love

You're asking me now for time
I'm honestly willing to give
Underneath I'm terrified of giving up
But what if my life is not what you want to live?

Over and over you say it again
'You're the only one for me, you're my soul mate'
And so we have have done it.
It's been set, the date.
