Poetess of the night

Poetess of the night

A Poem by Throwing Romeo

dipped and shaken
her quill skillfully
dives into wonderstruck
parchment madness
tilted forward tall words
swoop and curl bold twists
folded in faintly scant lines
her poetess of the night
withheld breath spills ink
in flickering deliberate
lamented prose reborn
reliable syllables strung
passionately in fluent
dignified tones coloured
in pillow wispered desire
she besheeches me in
complexity cures me of
vanity humble's my realitie
drawn to her perfumed nape
and watery blue eyes unfurled
only by figured imagination
her poetess of the night
vanishes in a plume of
cuttlefish bone pounce
over tallest words imbued
with her dry cured scraped
smooth honed slit nibbed
swan feather qill welled
til morrow's light fades
to the unnoticed shadow
dance upon her stacked
stone candlelit washed
white chamber wall

the act of writing poetry is less a physical act than it is a feeling . I adore poetry the effectively demonstrates this. Poetry is not just written word, for if it is, it remains hollow. Poetry is the sputum of the heart and mind comingled on paper, the laying bare of the soul, the thoughts we hide from the rest of the world. It is not an easy feat to write about the act of writing, but you have managed to do so quite eloquently. I like this very much.

Goddess of the night inspires you to write in dignified tones...lamented prose.....this poem has such emotion in it, every word ,a gem...."drawn to her perfumed nape" spewing your emotions of fantasy and reality...perhaps she is a swan???? that beautiful Goddess?

Start to finish, passionate admiration worded in fine phrase. There's a feeling of utter sincerity in both the delicate but distinct content and more than fine writing skill.
