Winter Coats

Winter Coats

A Poem by William Coad
"

A poem about the coats of winter.

"
Winter coats are a leopard's stripes,
for a leopard stripe,
which has no stripes.

They tag the ground like,
something held right,
above the crystalline snow.

Winter coats are exactly as,
valuable as,
The person or persons wearing them.

Buttons and dots,
can't count the cost,
of a winter coat warn at daylight.
