This is for you

This is for you

A Poem by William Coad
"

A poem I wrote at 1:11 in the morning

"

This is for the woman,

playing piano on my chest,

she's just doing her best,

playing piano on my chest.

This is for the young man,

with his evil plan,

doing the best that he can,

with his evil plan.

This is for anyone,

that just wants to have fun.

Watch as they run and they run,

they just want to have fun.

My hearts beating fast now,

My arm's in a cast now,

I don't even know how,

I got here.

This is for the small boy,

Shaving with a razor blade,

The bits of hair that god gave,

shaving with a razor blade.

This is for no one now,

It won't stop some how.

Doing its best somehow,

It won't stop, even now.

And the numbers are all out of place,

I lost count,

I lost meter,

I can't seem to face, my surroundings.

Not my surroundings.

Not now.
