Feelings of Night

Feelings of Night

A Poem by William Coad

You've got to love the feeling that

when left alone

when left in black

when feeling nothing but walls and walls

when everything feels like something small.

I love the feeling when world is hard

like rocky crystals

encase my heat.

The feeling of feelings that lacks a word.

The height of which is left untold,

but what is this thing of day -

where is night?

Why can't I stay?
