Strawberry Chapstick

Strawberry Chapstick

A Poem by Gypsy Willow

A silver thread
Securely binds
The soft pink lips
Of a maiden
Still scarred

Words can never
Be unleashed
And lessons learned
Must be self taught

She must let
The Spirit guide her
She must trust
In the purpose

She must dry
The tears that stain
The soft pink cheeks
Of innocence

She embraces the pain
Loves the strength
Given to her
As reward

She curls inside herself
And disappears
As she watches
The newly blooming field
Softly showing through
A hope coloured
Window.

About
I've been writing since I was thirteen and it will always be my passion. I really wanted to go to Pratt to major in Creative writing, but that is a dream left for when I have a larger pocket. I am 19 .. more..
