Needling

 

Making jokes

of little things,

a thimble on a counter,

a pin cushion pricked,

creating chuckles

on a thread

spun of someone’s poetry

Wound around a feeling,

stitched together with emotions,

created from a pattern of love

Sewn with sincerity

only so another

can laugh,

has ripped the fabric

of this that

was fashioned

Gosh.
This definitely is something we should be mindful of.
Some poems are very very special to the author so we have to use good judgement when we make a joke. I think though, it's best to just shake it off.
