If we could speak

If we could speak

A Poem by Winter
"

A little challenge from my mother. She was teaching her students about this poem called: "Heir conditioning" and gave me a challenge to write a poem on what would nature would say about us.

"
If trees could speak
Plants could sing
What would they say
To us human beings

You once fear us
And respect us
We gave you life
And protected you

Because of your ignorance
You never knew
Pollution and destruction
That kills us now

We fear you now
Oh you human beings
Because of your knowledge
We both shall suffer

If we could speak
We could sing
This is what we say
To you human beings

I like how you wrote it in a tree's perspective. Although through the stupidity and ignorance of mankind or actually destroying ourselves as well becoming a plague tearing each other down. Man of today is too much of a hot mess for purity me thinks lol.. thanks for sharing.
