Travel Fare

A little poem for those of us who can't afford to travel...

You'd think it'd be cheap,
Just to go for a flight.
To fly high, in the sky,
Oh, to have that delight!

Oh, how great it would be
Just to fly somewhere new
I know I'd love to go!
And I'm sure you would, too!

Sadly, people are stingy
And they really don't care
Which is why prices are so high
For all travel fare!

But that doesn't stop me,
No- I travel for free!
It's my heart that takes flight
When I write poetry!

And when I need a vacation
But I really can't leave
A well-written story
Is all that I need!

So you see, whether you can
Or can't go on vacation,
You can always escape
To your imagination!

This is delightfully light-hearted but also inspiring. I also like the way you've used the rhyming lines, it gives a nice flow to the poem.
