Rain, Rain Go Away

Rain, Rain Go Away

A Poem by Ashraful
"

I fell in love with my best friend. She was traumatized in many ways when I met and got to know her. This poem describes How much I broke myself while trying to save her.

"
Teardrop falls like rain
From a bloodshot yet blue sky
In a feeble attempt
To wash the pain
To purify
My aching soul.

Nature baths in the punt nectar
Soaks it in.
Sends the fresh smell of first rain
Through the air
Merging with warm soft sunlight
In this isolated afternoon
All it does is reminds me
The sweet smell of your black glossy hair.

Like a protective cloak
Nourishing my weak presence
Or like a consuming darkness
Wiping out my existence.
Like I'm clueless
Will you ever take that step
Hold open that door
For My heart aimless
Sweetheart, I'm not sure.

Effect of your love has so many
variations
Your silence or your smile
Controls my future
Sets its motion
Your response and attention
Is it love or is it manipulation?
Seems like chasing your mirage
Has become my passion
In a pity full way.

This cycle of loneliness
Bits of innocent love
And pieces of happiness
As its layer.
Will it ever break?
How much I will be able to take
Pushing myself to the limit
Will my mind wreck?
Just like I don't know
If you ever will walk through that door
Take that step
LOVE
I'm not sure.
